Solenoid Valves are designed for specific applications relating to the control of gas, fuel, air, water and steam. Hitemp Pneumatics stock and have access to most brands of valves for most types of applications including vacuum.
Valve body materials are available in: PVC, Teflon, Bronze, Cast Iron and Steel. Seats or Discs are available in various materials to accommodate most chemicals. There are two principle types of operation for solenoid valves: Direct Lift and Pilot Operated as well two types of port or vent configurations.
Direct Lift Valves
In these models, movement of the plunger directly opens or closes the valve as the sealing disc is attached to the plunger. The valve will operate from zero pressure differential, to its maximum rated pressure.
These valves are available up to ½" bsp.
Pilot Operated Valves
These models are equipped with a diaphragm or piston which provides the seal for the main valve orifice. These valves are used to handle much greater flow or pressure requirements than direct acting valves.
Pilot valves are available up to 3” screwed or to 6” [150 mm] flanged.
2 - Way Valves
These valves have one inlet and one outlet port and are used as an on/off valve to control the flow of liquids or gases.
Most sizes are available in normally closed [power to open] or normally opened [power to close] styles.
3 - Way Valves
These valves enable the application and release of pressure to single acting cylinders or actuators.
They are available in both power to open [normally closed] or power to close [normally open] styles.
The solenoids or coils are available in a number of styles such as flying leads, terminals, plug or din with LED [IP65], and are available in most voltages in both AC and DC.
Hazardous, ex rated or DIP rated coil are also available.
Timers, fittings brackets and gauges are also available.
